Joan Palano Ciolfi, a Berkshire County native, painting’s are expressive oils infused with energy and texture, which push the seemingly realistic subject matter towards abstraction – an abandoned building, a summer storm, a red dress. Her work is vibrant and atmospheric.
Joan has enjoyed solo exhibits in Cambridge and Lenox, and has shown her work in galleries and group exhibits throughout New England. Her work has been published nationally and collected throughout the United States.
